This little girl finally presented herself on one of the hottest days we were having here in Oregon....103*!!! Our friends were here visiting for the week and we had all been taking turns going to the barn ''checking'' to see if Belles' baby was here. Heck, the night before we decided to set up the cardtable at the barn and play our cards (hand & foot) down there, hoping the whole time that we would get to see a birthing!! Everybody knows how that turned out....LOL!!! Us girls whooped the guys at cards but we didn't see any birthing!! The next afternoon when everybody was out and nobody was watching, Belles had her baby. This was her first foal and I guess she decided she didn't want anyone around!!! Both momma & baby are doing great. Belles did a fine job all on her own and we are very proud of her!!! My friend, who has never seen a baby donkey, kept saying she was a ''Precious little Princess''......so we named her "Precious Star.''

Ruby Rose’ is BoPeep’s first foal and we couldn’t be more pleased. She is a doll and perfect in every way. Ruby is a gorgeous cinnamon red color and those little stovepipe straight legs are to die for!! This little girl is going to WOW them in the Show Ring with her great conformation and sweet temperament. Wow! That’s all we can say about this exceptional little man. On June 10, 2006, Slippers presented us with Eola Hills Elliot. He is a gorgeous gray and no bigger than a half-a-minute!! Elliot is 5th generation in a line of Champions. His Sire, Crown Meadow Opie, is a 3X Reserve Champion Halter jack @ 2 & 3 yrs of age. His grandsire, Crown Meadow Cup-a-Joe, was named Champion Hi Point Green Jack in 2005. Sadly, Elliot’s great-grandsire, the Legendary RF Carbon Copy, passed away at the height of his career on April 8, 2005 at the tender age of 10. In honor of his passing, Marilane decided to take CC’s Sire & Elliot’s great-great grandsire, the then 17 yr old, RF Cappuccino out of retirement. Cappuccino showed them he still has what it takes by winning Reserve Champion Hi Point Jack for 2005!! Elliot's dam, Slippers, was shown as a yearling and placed 3rd out of 19 other jennets at The Great Celebration & Mule Show in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
