This boy just shines out in the pasture.....he is Black as Black can be!! I have had Pennington since he was 3 mos old. Jane let me bring Pennington & his dam, to my farm so I could raise him with lots of love & attention. He is a doll baby!! We gave Pennington his first haircut last May (pictures above). We were pleasantly surprised when we got all that old baby hair off. We couldn't find a cross anywhere.....he just SPARKLED!!! Pennington was purchased because he was one little black 'chunk' of a donkey.....well balanced, nice round baby butt, with straight legs. He was the sweetest little black furball I have ever seen and I just had to have him. I knew his pedigree would fit my small herd of jennets to a "T" also. Pennington's paternal grandam is a 31" brown/gray white spot.....I want some dark spotted foals. Pennington just turned 2 yrs old and we have him pastured with Mariah, our brown/gray & white spotted jennet. I'm looking forward to that dark spotted foal in 2010. *we will have updated pictures when the weather is better.

Rocky update: It's with a deep regret that we have to announce the demise of our great little herdsire, Wit's End Rock'n Rocky. All you guys out there, just know that he went down bravely. He stood as long as he could but the 3rd shot layed him down. He arose 20 minutes later, a little woozy but with a big smile on his face!! He knows he is now THE GREATEST LITTLE BROWN GELDING of EOLA HILLS MINIATURE DONKEY FARM!!!!!!!!! (still with the straightest dam legs West of the Mississippi...!!!)
